For me, caregiving has never been just a job it’s a calling. Over the past 22 years, I’ve walked alongside countless seniors and their families, especially those navigating the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
I believe in the power of routine, patience, and presence. When you’re caring for someone with memory loss, the world can feel confusing and frightening. My role is to create a calm, structured environment where they feel safe and valued. Whether it’s through a familiar morning routine, a favorite meal, a song they’ve always loved, or simply sitting quietly together, I strive to connect in ways that still matter.
I’ve learned that it’s not about correcting or redirecting every moment it’s about entering their world with empathy. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is listen to a story they’ve told a hundred times as if it’s the first time you’ve heard it.
I also see myself as a partner to family members. I know how overwhelming it can be, and I believe in clear communication, honesty, and emotional support. My goal is to give families peace of mind, knowing their loved one is treated with the same kindness and respect I would want for my own family.
Outside of caregiving, I’m an avid gardener I often bring blooms to my clients—and I love baking. There’s something about the comfort of a homemade cookie that seems to bring smiles no matter the season of life.
