For the veterans I work with, routine isn't just helpful, it's essential. Having a dependable schedule and a calm, non judgmental presence can provide the structure and safety needed to navigate the day.

Many of the veterans I've cared for carry experiences they don't often share, and they shouldn't have to.

My role isn't to pry, but to provide a steady, trustworthy presence where they feel secure. Building rapport often happens in the quiet moments while sharing a cup of coffee, working on a puzzle, or simply sitting in comfortable silence. I've found that mutual respect, earned through consistency and genuine listening, is the foundation of the best care.

I see my work as a small way to honor their service; by ensuring their later years are met with the same dignity and strength they've shown throughout their lives.
